Norges Carpet Bowls Forbund – The Norwegian Carpet Bowls Federation
Østfold County Council included Carpet Bowls as a public health activity in 2013. A few years later Carpet Bowls has become very popular.
The Norwegian Carpet Bowls Association was founded in 2016.
Venues have been established in several counties and municipalities. The association today has over 20 local member clubs. In several places there are games for Carpet Bowls 1-2 times a week. On tournaments, it has participated up to 250 players.
Østfoldhelsa, Volunteer Centers and Public health coordinators in the municipalities are good supporters and have contributed to Carpet Bowls becoming a public health sport in Norway.
Norwegian Carpet Bowls clubs have participated tournaments in England, Denmark and Sweden. Foreign teams have participated in Norwegian tournaments.
